Briohney is a certified yoga, yin and meditation facilitator with a love for healing arts and dance movement.

12 years ago, Briohney found solace in yoga as a means to navigate anxiety and trauma through movement as a path of transformation. Honing her expertise and immersing herself in various disciplines combining yin yoga, slow flow, vinyasa, somatic practices and dance-inspired movements.

She has artfully crafted a distinct teaching style characterised by its invitation to fluidity, somatic embodiment and free form movement exploration.

Beginning her teaching path 6 years ago in 2017 upon completing her 200-hour certification at Melbourne's Gertrude Street Yoga Studio. Since then, she's crafted a distinctive teaching style that creates a sanctuary for students of all levels and abilities.

She infuses her sessions with a moving meditative quality, prioritising the art of breath articulation, internal somatic awareness and seamless transitions. Her classes are often described as embodying a Yin/Yang quality with a deep connection to self, skilfully weaving softness and strength and incorporating elemental themes.

Her classes are fluid and dynamic, that seamlessly weave breath into a cohesive tapestry, while cultivating inner equilibrium to soothe the nervous system and explore the vastness of one's inner world. 

Briohney's knowledge extends beyond yoga's traditional realms, encompassing the Liquid Body Module under Tara Judelle (Embodied Flow), she completed her Yin certification with Celine Yoga Vida in Bali. Her decade-long mastery in Fusion Belly dance, and gathers influences from Qi Gong, Zenthai Flow, and free-movement dance.

Drawn by her own authentic expression as an offering to her classes, Briohney continually finds new ways to explore movement, offering you an opportunity to express yourself through the transformative and creative art of yoga and dance.
